Upstream Process Equipment (Fermentation Preparation Stage – Core Equipment)
Ⅰ、Functions and Roles
Ⅰ.Functions and Roles:Completes strain cultivation and bioconversion via fermentation: Centered on fermenters, it provides a closed, controllable growth environment for microorganisms/cells, enabling strain propagation, cell proliferation, and synthesis of target metabolites. It serves as the core reaction unit for bioproduction.
Realizes automatic control of the fermentation process: precisely regulates key parameters such as temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, stirring speed and feeding, ensuring stable, efficient and repeatable fermentation.
Real-time online monitoring and analysis: Through online spectroscopy, process monitors and other equipment, real-time data on substrates, products and cell concentration is obtained, enabling process optimization, anomaly early warning and quality traceability.
Automatic sampling and enzymatic pretreatment: The automatic sampling system enables sterile, timed sampling; combined with enzymatic hydrolysis tanks, it completes raw material enzymatic hydrolysis and substrate pretreatment, providing qualified carbon and nitrogen sources for fermentation.
Ensures aseptic and safe production: The equipment is closed, pressure-resistant and autoclavable in place, reducing contamination risks and improving batch stability and production safety.
Ⅱ、Equipment Features
Diverse Core Reactors:Glass fermenters facilitate observation during experiments; stainless steel fermenters are suitable for pilot and large-scale production; photobioreactors are designed for culturing photosynthetic microorganisms, meeting various process scenarios.
High Automation & Intelligence:Integrated with automatic control systems and online monitoring, enabling remote supervision and automatic adjustment, reducing manual intervention and improving process consistency.
Real-time Online Detection:Online spectroscopic equipment such as Raman and infrared systems require no offline sampling, enabling real-time component analysis, improving efficiency and reducing contamination risks.
Closed Aseptic Design:Pressure-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and capable of CIP/SIP in-place cleaning and sterilization, meeting clean production requirements for biopharmaceuticals and biomanufacturing.
Modular & Highly Scalable:Can be equipped with modules such as automatic sampling, fed-batch feeding, and off-gas analysis, supporting scale-up from lab-scale to pilot and industrial production.
